FINE ART - PAINTING SKETCHES

Here are some photos of some recent watercolour sketches to work on my skill set. My style is generally big, bold, and colourful.

FINE ART - PAINTINGS

Here are some photos of paintings that I have created over the years. My style is generally big, bold, and colourful. I tend to paint on a large scale and use oil paints, but I also enjoy exploring many types of media depending on the mood, content, or theme.

EARLY WORK

The following photos show some of my most early work during Highschool and University. I have been creating artwork since I could hold a pencil - but unfortunately many of those pieces of work did not survive to have photos.

TEXTILES - SCULPTURE

I learned to knit and crochet when I was younger- but fell out making anything as interests developed in other locations. I learned to knit and crochet again while I was working on the ship traveling to Antarctica. Here are a few of my creations that are self-created rather than following a pattern.

There are some photos here also of some of my sewing exploits and my hand at doing some clay sculpture. Some of the photos of the ugly face bowls are used as knitting bowls to help keep wool contained - unglazed and glazed. I have also created bowls and plates from throwing clay on the wheel & Kiln fired that I use regularly.
